With a unique, confidently alternative business style, Rory has successfully developed businesses and worked in fields as diverse as lettings and property management, sales and marketing, life coaching, media production and publishing, financial trading and private investment.

Starting his first business from scratch in 2003/04, Rory has a particular talent for new start-ups and now advises others on the best strategies for successfully starting their businesses, running them effectively and keeping them profitable. He is a strong believer in the freedom and lifestyle that self-employment can provide, but also in the value to individuals and companies from applying the 'entrepreneurial mindset' within the employed sphere.

It was Rory''s flair for communication and 'people skills', developed in his private coaching practice and applied in business, that became the starting point for our The People Perspective^TM method of business analysis that is central to The Business Ladder's training, coaching and consultancy services.

As a professional trainer and co-founder of The Business Ladder, Rory brings this experience to the company's business training as well as courses he has written and delivered through the Letting4Success and Property Agency Training training channels. He is also an active investor in Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMEs) and selected property investments through Bloomsbury Investments.

In addition to his work on the above channels, Rory personally heads up Enigma Development - the personal development and life skills-focused sister channel to The Business Ladder.

Outside of business Rory's interests range broadly from martial arts and the 'Sport of Kings' to 19th-century stage magic and illusion, all of which he is happy to discuss as to how they influence his approach to life and business. His creative endeavours extend to art, illustration, song composition and writing.
